Normally abbreviated “SSgt” or “SSG”

Barreleyes get sorta close. They look up but can look forward too.

It’s not hard to file taxes. Especially for an individual, with a normal W2 income, and not much else. Certain people try to make it hard, but it’s not.

I don’t need to pay someone to put a number on a form.

[–] Hathaway@lemmy.zip 4 points 4 weeks ago (13 children)

That’s the point. Poor people gambling can’t write off their losses on taxes. Well, they can, just only up to 90%. Rather than all of it like it has been.

Ah, and only 90% of gambling losses. Looks like another point against the poor.

Not that I’m condoning gambling, but, weird how those things impact polar opposite sides of the wealth gap.

Have you looked at the literacy rate?

No wonder millennials can’t afford a house, with all the avocado toast and 10-ply toilet paper. /s

Funny, I was here to also tell a story except about a psych nurse. A “friend” of a friend. This actually happened recently. Dude was a cop, as was my friend(past tense is important here), they bonded over PTSD as well as both being on a psych unit. Well, dude tells a lot of stories about his copping days, and my buddy vouches for him as a date for a coworker. Turns out, guy is crazy, gets super possessive, crazy stuff like sending hundreds of texts a day, and violently rapes her. His whole backstory of being a cop was a lie, after digging, and finding close to double digits social media accounts, turns out he was separated for “administrative purposes” and moved here.

Most unsettling thing, for both me, and my friend, is, there weren’t really a ton of egregious red flags. Looking back, sure, but in the moment, absolutely not. He’s having a hard time trusting his judgment(insert quip about being a cop at one point). I truly believe that was the first psychopath I’ve met.

Those jeeps are in my area!

So glad my dead mother will definitely see justice. /s

That’s how my little sister got her nickname. They’d say her name as “baby _____” and I couldn’t say baby so it was just “b _____” and she’s been “B” ever since. Her name doesn’t have a B in it.

You’d think there’d be a threshold where they just say “no” though?

I’m not shocked I got approved, even with that interest rate, my credit isn’t bad, just non existent.

I’m shocked my friend got approved with 2 judgements. What’s the point of a judgment? I suppose I don’t know the details, they could be old, etc. just seems irresponsible.

Just finished up at my local pitch and putt, threw a perfect spike hyzer to finish my round. Framed up a beautiful shot.

Incredible.

Lots of discs. Talked with big jerm and got a signature. Worth the trip!

The PDGA has the weekend off, well, there’s a “competing” tour starting up from GoThrow(formerly GKPro, the guys that brought and still bring skins all year)

The event is not sanctioned by the PDGA so you may see some more interesting lines that wouldn’t be taken while in a sanctioned event. They’re still playing for tour points and some sort of playoff for a winner of the GoThrow tour!

I think the competition is good for the PDGA, there are a lot of things that players would like to change. Hopefully the pressure will help get some changes.

I am curious to see if either tour can figure out how to be profitable. I don’t think the PDGA makes money, which makes me a bit nervous for the future of professional disc golf. We will see.

Almost made the image NSFW. Brutal. Normally these are guys I can compete with, not close, and they’re usually below par too, well, only up from there.

I’m in the midst of some form changes to try to get me out to 400 ft, that didn’t help, but the putt was just off. Time for more practice.

As always, go throw!

Welcome back disc enthusiasts, the pro tour is back again! Jomezpro will have 1st round coverage available sometime today. (My preferred way of watching) However, the DGPT also streams this event free of charge. You normally need a subscription.

Course is awesome. Weather is good, it’s a hard course but I expect to see some decent numbers!

Don’t forget to go throw yourselves, I’m planning on heading out tomorrow to try to break in all the plastic I got from this off season. “Break in” is also my cover for being rusty and hitting trees.

The disc golf pro tour is back this weekend! I will more than likely be posting links to it as well.

Also, I’ll be more active in the sub going forward, trying just to add content, turns out, when you live where it gets brutally cold, starting a disc golf community before the winter starts, makes creating posts difficult lol.

However, I also was able to get out this week and throw as well! I made some form changes, and just two rounds in, I know this year is going to be better than last. So I should be able to feed this some content.

Go throw!

This might be the best picture I ever get of my cat. He’s photogenic, but this is supermodel shit.
