Yeah whats actually convenient is being able to step out your home, jump into the tram, read the newspaper for 15 minutes, jump out and have teleported to work.

Isn’t that the case for basically all those websites that add trackers. Which is most of them.

[–] FundMECFS@anarchist.nexus 1 points 2 months ago

Never said that.

This isn’t how it works outside first world countries. People who can’t afford cats and dogs aren’t buying them. They’re adopting the stays, stuff like that. Things work differently than in rich countries.

Yes this community is run by Proton.

if you can find the receipts in the mod log do post it to !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com .

Good to gather evidence.

People absolutely influence each other. On the rate of a couple lemmy comments its marginally tiny. But they do.

At risk of sounding cliché, we live in a society.

And heirarchy in not inevitable. The kind of social stratification we see today has only been around roughly 10’000 years. Which is nothing in the grand scheme, in evolutionary time.

For most of human history, human relationships underwent far more egalitarian structure.

That’s a political reason as well.

To be fair there’s a bit of nuance like Winnie the Pooh isn’t outright banned you can buy merch and stuff in China. But obviously anything that has a whiff of Xi criticism is straight to jail, so in that sense many instances of Winnie the Pooh used in ways that could signal dissent is very much surveilled and cracked down upon.

In any case Dessalines being a power tripping ML censor as usual.
