The animation looked a bit different from what I remembered season 1 was, turned out this season is made by a different studio. I wonder what happened to the previous one, REVOROOT, they seemed to have stopped updating their website since 2022.
The new studio is Teddy, and this seems to be their first full season work, previously just helping out other studios on episodes.
I have read the manga but not watched the previous anime adaptation. I was surprised to hear Conan's voice from Yaiba (apparently Takayama Minami is reprising the same role from the previous adaptation). The animation quality was good, it seemed this anime has a good budget allocated. They also kept the art style from the manga intact. I think this is something I'll enjoy this season.
Unfortunately just an average trash isekai (though I don't mind that it is trash isekai). It's not notably bad or anything, just not notably good either. There wasn't much cooking in the show, if that is your interest.
Pretty sure Kenichi's line in the intro 命を燃やせ 今がその時だ (inochi wo moyase / ima ga sono toki da) is a reference to this, which also fits his around 40 age.
They basically finished the manga without the extra chapter, but the mayonaise-mage who is probably also from Japan did get a cameo in the after credits scene.

The animation quality is decent and the execution seems okay for the first episode. Let's see if they can make the absurdity humor work.
Kurt was lucky to have met Yulishia who was an adventurer formerly serving directly under the royal family and had some powerful connections, who recognizes his OP-ness while not taking advantage of him.
It felt like they saved all the animation budget for this fight with Ichfeis.
Köinzell seemed almost happy he gained a powerful enemy.
And we got to the end of the season. The pacing got better towards the end, but unfortunately I think many people have already given up on it. It is not disastrously bad overall but certainly can be much better. Sad to see a waste of so much potential.
A nice end to the season, though I think they basically ignored the dungeon in the other world to get here.
Wridra's determination to get into a hot spring is unstoppable. Luckily the receptionist was a cat-lover.

We get confirmation that Grandfather knew about the dream world and was not surprised by elves. Nice to see he got along so well with Marie, even to Kazuhiro's confusion.
Overall a very lovely story and anime season. I would like to see more of them in both worlds, but I guess it depends on how much more source material there is (which I don't know) whether we get another season.
So, there will be one more episode. It seems they are going to cover all of the manga but we are not sure if they'll do the extra chapter

The girl's name is 夢叶エル (Yumekana Elle), same reading as 夢叶える (Yume Kanaeru -- dream achieved)
