Subreddit Rules

Keep It European

Memes should be relevant to Europe, Europeans, or European culture. Off-topic memes will be removed.

No Hate Speech or Bigotry

Racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, and other forms of hate speech are strictly prohibited. Satire is welcome, but not at the expense of marginalized groups.

No Spam or Self-Promotion

Don’t flood the sub with your own content or links. Participate genuinely.

English Preferred, but Multilingual Welcome

While English is the main language, memes in other European languages are allowed if the humor is clear or a translation is provided.

Be Kind and Constructive

Disagreements happen, but keep discussions civil. Personal attacks, trolling, or harassment will result in bans.

Same in the Netherlands. You get a single slice of cheese or ham. The two shall never meet.

That's not a sandwich, that's a Stulle

If it makes the Germans feel any better, Polish sandwiches are equally sad.

Jambon-Beurre has entered the chat?

Dann mache ich das in Deutschland falsch. Meine sehen eher nach der linken Seite aus.

"The one on the left, that's what I would call a chicken sandwich. I'd call the one on the right 'poverty.'"

That's why baguettes / barras de pan are objectively superior - you simply can't make a sad looking sandwich with them the way you can with a slice of bread :D

And it still tastes better than the paper bread on the left.

In Norway, we'd remove the top slice of bread. And as long as the bread is good you don't need more than a little cheese or meat as garnish.
