Yeah, that was the funniest thing about the event; Israel giving their 12 points to Australia only for Australia to not return the favour at all.
Germany not getting any points in the public vote was also pretty funny.
But newsflash; IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER. It's Eurovision.... it's a mystery why Australia even participates.
Because Australia is a White Settler-Colonial state of Europe, just like Israel.
Same goes for America and Canada, though
They don't want Americans competing because half the point was to have something not dominated by American culture and media
Plus they'd lose
Oh of course, but unlike the others the US did a colonialism so hard they started colonizing Europe which disqualifies them. And Canada knows what they did to be excluded.
Simple maths: there are 26 acts. 10 acts get some points. 16 acts get zero points. Israel sent a Mid tier act which places them in the zero point range.

That's such a bad line of questioning. Surely the inquiry should focus on cases where there is some kind of abuse or harm happening, rather than trying to apply pressure and cast doubt on independent judges of a music competition. I think it is potentially damaging if SBS has to start worrying about whether certain politicians are going to get upset if certain acts don't get voted for.
The public voting system was definitely abused though, you can't tell me people just unironically enjoyed Israel's performance
