I feel ashamed at how I’m part of a Western world that allowed this.

The rich and their corporations have savaged this planet and it’s common people.

This must just be showing only companies owned by foreigners. I know in Morocco they have way more petrol stations than just Shell. All the service stations on the major roads are owned by the mayor of Tangier.

I think this is about which companies own the resources in the ground / have the right to extract them.

All the oil and gas in Morocco is owned by the state. Morocco is big on solar, being one of the sunniest countries in the world, but Shell don’t have a hand in that. There’s phosphor in the south but the big international companies aren’t allowed to touch that as it’s occupied territory according to the UN.

Congo is the worst in terms of foriegn neocolonial exploitation, the country is one of the mineral rich country still it is one of the poorest countries in the world . Their first prime minister lumbaba got assaniated by belgium and usa for not opening up economy to forieGn corporations .
