After trying LibreWolf, I don't want to use anything else. I'll use it for work unless they say no.

I have and use librewolf on my laptop. It feels a lot like Firefox, but acts like duckduckgo (by default it doesn't save any site info or search history or anything). What do you like so much about it?

I enjoy the safety and privacy defaults, the anti-fingerprinting measures, lack of Firefox branding, no Pocket or Firefox Sync, no data collection. I can use self-hosting add-ons, like my own search-engine instance, VPN, and password manager without Mozilla bloat.

Makes sense. Thanks 😁

Meh. I am using Edge and Bing out of preference. Edge is just faster and more comfortable chromium browser, while Bing I hated but lately it's more on-point that Google and I have no money to pay for kagi. Aaaand Bing gives free/data-paid stuff but that's just a bonus.

Honestly people hate on both due to either hating MS, IE or having the absolute pleasant experience of using Bing 10 years ago. Or all of them. Point is, two thirds of views sre outdated but still frick Microsoft.

Not saying Google is good, but it's more on point when you add "-reddit -facebook -instagram -tiktok" (without quotes) and select "Search tools"->"All results"->Verbatim

Hope that helps.

I use both Edge and Chrome for school, and the textbooks are multiple 1000+ page pdfs. Chrome leaves Edge in the dust for ctrl+F searches in the PDFs. I have no opinions between them beyond that, but in that case Edge is borderline unusable

Bing is better than google...but that's a low bar to overcome

At some point years ago, I moved off Chrome and switched to Edge. I don't remember why. I think it was because ublock would no longer work with Chrome. Or maybe it was Firefox I was on, and Chrome was throttling Youtube when accessed through Firefox, so I started using Edge and just swapped. Or maybe both. I don't really recall. But Edge works perfectly fine for what I need it to do. With how heavy Google has tilted into advertising, data tracking, and enshitifying themselves, I low-key resent them and just won't use Chrome unless I have to. Firefox with ublock for phone, Edge with ublock for PC.

You're kinda still using Chrome though, since Edge is based on Chrome.

Kinda wild to use Firefox on mobile but not on desktop (assuming you have a choice on desktop).
