Enough Musk Spam
For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.
No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

I heard he’s a genius.
I’d prefer history forget this asshole, but if we get part two to the legend of Midas, I guess “The Elon Touch” is acceptable.
just imagine paying six figures for a vehicle where the fix involves more tape than a toddler's art project. truly living in the future.

I would rather ride in the Possum Van than a Cybertruck. Fewer parts falling off and no chance of getting trapped inside since the doors are just tied shut with clothesline.
MKBHD did a video on the light bar. It legit looks like some off-the-shelf part that they just glue on to the truck.
The whole car looks like that.
no one has become rich by being honest

“Tesla Service will inspect the light bar and install an additional mechanical attachment or replace the light bar using tape to adhere the light bar to the windshield as well as an additional mechanical attachment as necessary, free of charge.”
Why is the tape there Elon
If there's an additional mechanical attachment which yes is usually the method they use to put cars together and congratulations for that but I just want to know why the tape is there also
Answer me Elon

Tape is cheaper and easier to assemble than fasteners.
The real question is why people are paying a hundred grand for a taped-together truck
There’s a whole lot of 2-sided tape in all cars these days. It does a great job preventing shit from rattling till the warranty expires. But most manufacturers have learned to limit that to internal or underside things because the heat and cold extremes on external bits age that foam tape real quick.
Surely it's just a coincidence that the single vehicle that had Kaptain Ketamine's fingerprints all over it from beginning to end is the single least popular and single most-recalled vehicle Tesla has ever made. This can't be a causal link, right?
nope, entirely coincidental… let's give him 2 trillion now for his brilliance
There is a reason actual car companies dont have this problem... Experience.
Again.
