That error message corresponds to lemmy error rate_limit_error. It's probably not a photon issue.

The Lemmy instance you are using probably needs to increase the api rate limit.

should I dm the instance owners about this then?

I am getting 404 {"error":"not_found"} errors whenever i click on any community then if i ctrl+r to refresh the page it loads properly. Very strange

fixed in a now merged branch 2 days ago

What specifically is triggering it? Is it when you're looking at comments to a specific post? Is it when you're looking at new/all/subscribed timeline? There's lots of rate limits in lemmy!

Usually it's when I open posts in a new tab. On rare occasions it happens when I go to see the posts I saved or upvoted, but more often than not it's opening something in a new tab

Ok, so it's probably the comments API.

I've adjust the blahaj zone rate limit. Let me know how that goes. If it's still occurring, it might be an issue with some changes we made to deal with LLM scraping.

Does this happen when you use a guest account on another instance?

[–] Battle_Masker@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 months ago

not a guest account, but yes another instance

Yeah I get this fairly frequently too.
