Seems like a case of forgetting the trees for the forest. Like yeah the concept of trans people will be here, but I'm a little bit worried about all the trans people who might not be.

kind of like telling folk "hey gay people will still exist in 20 years" during the height of the AIDS epidemic. sure, people will still be gay, but the folk we care about right here right now have one hell of a risk of not making it.
Of course trans people will be here after he’s gone, but the people that elected him to office will also still be here. I’ve been saying it since before the first Trump presidency, but this is going to take a lot more work and a lot of people will need to have their opinions changed, or be forced to accept that trans people deserve to live the same happy, well meaning life the rest of us straight people enjoy (I’m saying straight now because lord knows this administration won’t stop at the T in LGBT).
If you’ve never volunteered for politics before get out and volunteer, phone bank, email, support financially, anything you can do for the next few elections will absolutely make a difference. Use your 2nd amendment right as well. There’s no shame in arming yourself and going to the range. Connect with local friends who know how to shoot and train with firearms or reach out to SRA groups that would be willing to provide assistance. You’d be surprised, but at my local gun range (it’s in Cali for what it’s worth) is fairly diverse and very neutral to all customers. So you won’t get pushed out, just won’t feel all warm and fuzzy from them. This administration seems to be taking stances that obviously mean many minority groups, trans people included, will be under a microscope and critiqued for anything and everything. Don’t assume things will get to a point of needing to use your rights, but also don’t be afraid to prepare and exercise them.

Didn't work out that way back then, did it? They need their enemies, and trans people have been assigned the enemy (them and immigrants).
This storm might blow over, eventually. But it will need the death of their ideology, not orange man alone. And even then, in the here and now transpeople will suffer.
I'm not writing this to put down spirits. I'm writing this because we have to be aware of the fight we need to fight (we, the left).
I'm a white cis non american male, so if y'all trans people don't give a fuck about my opinion that's perfectly fine. It's easy to speak out if one is only affected by proxy.
I read that as "trains people" three times, and was a little confused. Thought it might be about autism special interests? 😆
we should build a trans train for our autranstic friends.
