Good, the EU is largely great, but there still need to be checks and balances when it steps out of line with the stupid regulations like this.

The source of this sort of stuff happening is corruption by billionnaire oligarchs. Therefore we need to combat billionnaires by severe taxation, restrictions on algorithms (so that billionnaires can't use it to further their corporate agenda), and so forth. Oh, and if billionnaires criticise it, all the blackmail against them is there...

No one can acquire that much wealth without being a massive fucking leech on society.

According to their blog, it seems they will sue if asked to break their encryption, so seems their standpoint is similar.
