Didn’t watch. But every Trump voter I know likes Bernie. They will not tolerate any Bernie slander and would have voted for him in 2016 and probably this last election too (except for the one family because they’ve gone down the Trump is ordained by Christ route and will not be returning to sanity).

Pure Trump propaganda nonsense.

Absolutely not my intent. I’m speaking from real experience with people I know. As mentioned in another response, they’re largely swing state Trump voters that I have had longer conversations. So that may be a factor in why they’re not as staunch?

Now imagine a younger virile man pushing populist policies channeling anger to it's source, the rich.

The dems have just enough sheep to convince primary voters the unpopular moderate is the safe choice, biden had elizabeth warren split the protest vote when all moderates dropped out it should be remembered, despite them failing over and over and everyone hating them.

We need a young, aggressive, and angry bernie to raze and burn dem infrastructure to the ground and rebuild a populist party from people that do not suck.

It turns out populist policies are popular, who knew! Not the Democratic establishment, they were chosen to not be popular. Because they call the Republicans populist, the Republicans are bad, therefore popular bad. In a country that elects leaders based on popular votes. It is too stupid to refute one would think but here we are. And that is not even the least logical of the arguments coming from the Democratic establishment.

Thank you, I needed something political but uplifting. I hope we can hold off fascism long enough to get to the next election. I also hope that young progressives can take back the democratic party. I'm not optimistic, but seeing Bernie talk reminds me that there is some hope.

There is no hope unless we organize, on our own forums, we could do it connected to the fediverse even. Cooperate publicly and privately on shared goals, including finding and grooming candidates.

We need a slate of populists attacking the rich, not republican light dem sell outs.

They are gerrymandering a lot of States so tight that they do not large margins so losing a few percent could be enough to get someone else elected in that District. Which is how the Democrats won the house in 2018 despite aggressive gerrymandering in the majority of states.

Why wouldn't they like Kibbuts Bernie?
