Subsidizing billion dollar companies helping destroy the environment and the people living in it.

We should be specific on #2:

denying people healthcare so they die from preventable illness in the interest of increasing shareholder value

I swear the Friedman Doctrine is every bit as fundamentally caustic to human society as outright overt fascism is - it’s just sugar-coated in money, is more subtle, and takes longer.

All the while most investments go towards pushing mind numbing entertainment to the masses who are too blind to see they are being manipulated. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.

I don't think specificity is necessary here.

I’m pointing it out because the addendum makes it particularly heinous and psychopathic

Hard to feel bad for a guy who took a bullet in the neck when he actively condoned and supported literal concentration camps in the US.

In unrelated news, anyone know where and when he will be buried? I've been chowing down on taco bell and Pepto since I heard the news. This next bowel movement is going to be legendary.

Link don't work for me, but I'm guessing "Know your rights" by The Clash, in which case kudos.

Bingo. Had some weird stuff happening to the YouTube link.

I'm curious about this -- how does a state guarantee positive rights without coercion/violence?

[–] HakFoo@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 2 months ago

Direct control over productive assets maybe?

If the state owns and operates farms and hospitals, they can implement policies that ensure access.
