Donald Trump has deployed thousands more military personnel to Los Angeles as he ramps up the response to protests against his immigration raids.

The president ordered the Pentagon to federalize an additional 2,000 California National Guard members to join the 2,000 already in the city, in addition to 700 Marines mobilized by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who began arriving in the city on Monday night.
