Total speculation, but those sudden moves at the end are potentially enough to turn a kill shot into a glancing blow, so the operator needs to ensure they get in as close as possible and with minimal sudden moves at the end.
A leap in the right direction could save your brain and take your legs instead. So better if a target is moving slow and not making a large move when the drone swoops in.
Fun alternative theory, this drone operator witnesses these guys doing some shit and had a score to settle.
I mean personally "settling a score" would probably take the form of "aim for his legs and let him bleed out in the field."
I'm doubtful the invader can juke out a flying grenade, but I see what you're getting at. It just seems inefficient at best and extraneously cruel at worst.
I'm a civilian in my computer chair at home though, not protecting my homeland from a protracted invasion so I acknowledge my value judgements are a luxury they are unable to afford. Fuck war.
