But like...what guard? What's the point? Why does this Russian invader need to be desensitized and exhausted before being killed?

I'd somewhat understand if surrender was an option but if the only outcome of this situation was death just...do it and be done with it. Pragmatically speaking the extra few minutes spent torturing the invader could instead be used to kill more invaders, no?

Maybe I'm just not cut out for war.

Also, the meme supercut is fucked up but I digress.

Total speculation, but those sudden moves at the end are potentially enough to turn a kill shot into a glancing blow, so the operator needs to ensure they get in as close as possible and with minimal sudden moves at the end.

A leap in the right direction could save your brain and take your legs instead. So better if a target is moving slow and not making a large move when the drone swoops in.

Fun alternative theory, this drone operator witnesses these guys doing some shit and had a score to settle.

I mean personally "settling a score" would probably take the form of "aim for his legs and let him bleed out in the field."

I'm doubtful the invader can juke out a flying grenade, but I see what you're getting at. It just seems inefficient at best and extraneously cruel at worst.

I'm a civilian in my computer chair at home though, not protecting my homeland from a protracted invasion so I acknowledge my value judgements are a luxury they are unable to afford. Fuck war.
