There are plenty of people who would say "cool" to this unironically and it's impossible to distinguish from an ironic post like yours. That's how that side of the fence generally operated on Reddit.
Well there’s only like twenty of us on here, and one is far more likely to be harangued by a communist or a socialist than some cloven-hooved mouth-breathing ~~fuckwit~~ redditor who would say “Cool” to this story.

That said, Lemmy has a lot of autistic and non-English so don't be surprised to be taken at face value. Although, "Cool." is pretty hard to read sarcastically without a lot of assumptions, lol.

It's harder to convey sarcasm with shorter phrases. Since mouthbreathing trolls are the kind of people that answer with one word (not saying that you are), it's hard to detect it in your original comment.
It's text, there is literally no way to know how you intended it to come across, people like you seem to think your intentions somehow bleed through into the text
