I was going to complain about us being excluded.
But the middle part is, if I'm not mistaken "England French Toast" (in Japanese) not "English". But maybe that's how it's said and I'm just wrong.

Is pickle cliché German? I'm German myself so I wouldn't know. I thought potato is peak German
Potato salad with good pickles? Mustard? I don't know. I just thought of German flavored chip and thought pickle
Potato salad is with mayo in the north and with broth in the south. Both with pickles I guess so I'm not saying you're wrong
With mustard and eggs in... I guess Grumpa was originally from Idaho and by gar he knew potatoes. Also other cooking, but we fought over his potato salad recipe, he kept that one secret just to tease us. Mayo is there mostly to chill the mustard out. He was more Swedish than German though.
