Really appreciate ya'll for making these awesome models I was able to use!

This was my first time fully diving into 3D animation on my own. I pretty much improvised a production pipeline based on what I wanted to do lol
This video was primarily made in Blender, with final editing done in Davinchi with some After Effects additions.
I've played with Blender before, but this time I spent months learning everything I needed to (thank god for tutorials)
I started the idea with a temp version of the main Murder Drones map Liam gave me, basically what they used in the animatics.
With this I wanted to go for a silhouette style look with the video, as the map had no textures.
That's where the idea to use Tessa came in, as she already had that look. I gave Cyn the same look to match the overall style.
I then made the whole other map with the trees and tombstones, with assets from Superhive.
The Cyn model already had a rig 🙏, but the Tessa model I had to rig on my own.
Rigging sucks I hate it lol
Then there came motion capture; I was able to get a Rokoko suit to do all my silly dances and stuff.
Re-targetting mocap to a character rig was a nightmare, but somehow I made it work 🥲
With all of the animations on the characters, it was finally time to form the scenes.
Setting up the camera shots and actually forming the video was the best part for sure.
So many keyframes controlling the lights, the sky, the cameras, the snow, and animation tweaks.
I could use a slice of pizza right now
The whole Tessa sequence was printed onto VHS and recorded back onto my computer.

There was a lot of other things I tried to do but couldn't pull off... it happens. I learned a whole lot and I'm excited to do this again.

Typically, we’ll just roll out four pages or so pages for an early sneak peek. HOWEVER, because you all have been so patient to set eyes on what awaits within MURDER DRONES: THE OFFICIAL GRAPHIC NOVEL, we’re upping the ante and showing off EIGHT WHOLE PAGES!

These interiors don’t have lettering, just yet, so it’s not totally a silent scene. PEOPLE WILL BE TALKING, DUH!

We’ll have some more cool reveals for you soon, too. And while the single issue of MURDER DRONES #1 goes on sale in comic shops February 11th, all physical backers will receive a digital edition of this issue BEFORE it arrives in stores!

it was really last minute and low effort but I'm actually kinda proud of it haha

some trick or treaters recognized me!

After 14½ years, SMG4 is entering its finale arc. The channel/series was birthplace of the original GLITCH shows Meta Runner and Sunset Paradise, paving the way for Murder Drones, TADC, and all the modern productions to rise up. But through all of Glitch's successes, the machinimas never stopped. Until now.

Per creator Luke Lerdwichagul (also co-creator of Glitch alongside brother Kevin), he's creatively fulfilled everything he's done with the series. The final episode, a full movie, will release on December 27, 2025. Until then, the rest of the episodes will focus on each character, doing the last adventure they want to do. Post-finale, the series and channel will remain preserved in the same state they are today.

Likewise, ParkPlanet.net has opened with lots more teasers and interactives. The password-protected page found earlier is gone, but there's a new staff login, and this one does have a password hidden on the page. I'll let you all look for it, though 😉

Earlier today, Dana Terrace (one of the co-creators of KoG) posted a skeet linking to ParkPlanet.net, which looks like KoG's equivlent of TADC's TheWackyWatch

Right now the site just says

404 ERROR

Oops! That part of the park is closed... for now.

and then a countdown until this Friday at 1900 UTC. What happens then? Who knows! But I bet it's gonna be an official trailer

(Technically, the page actually returns a typical HTTP 200, but shhh!)

We also get this nice shot of what I have to assume is the setting of the show, Park Planet:

This page asks for a password to enter the Guest Area. I tried some low hanging fruit, but didn't get in. Skimming the source code, it looks like a "proper" login-wall—it doesn't seem like the password is hidden on either page of the site, and the attempt is sent to the server which has to reply with the next URL to go to.

Time to fire up those hashcats, I guess!

Knights of Guinevere is an indie animated, sci-fi psychological thriller and our FIRST 2D animated show. Pilot episode set to come out late this year (hopefully). Created by Dana Terrace, John Bailey Owen, and Zach Marcus.

Three alums of Disney's The Owl House (!theowlhouse@lemmy.world) have moved on to Glitch to create the studio's first 2D show: Knights of Guinevere. I figured now is a good time to finally post the teaser from earlier this year as it just recently hit 50 million views, and based on Dana's Bluesky, we might be getting some new announcements soon... 🤞 (see other post)

Hail the Black Hand! The Gaslight District has been officially greenlit!

Per creator Part Time Seagull in the video, here's a list of things to expect:

1. We will meet Ken's ex-wife.
2. We will learn about Mud's past.
3. Breadhead's older brother will make an appearance.
4. Mel DIES in episode 3.
   • "(well maybe not that)"

Glitch noted on Twitter (Nitter mirror) that "FYI on release - it will be quite some time before next episodes are ready as the team has to finish production on Digital Circus first."

I assume this means GD is entering production now at the back of the line and they will be gradually be switching over after they finish the last episodes of DC moving through the pipeline. Speculating, they might be explicitly avoiding release overlap to prevent what Murder Drones had with accusations that it was cut short in favor of Digital Circus.
