[orange] Okay sure, we did massacre the economy and make ourselves look untrustworthy and unstable, but...

[zoom on orange grinning] We can now say slurs at work without facing consequences

[newspaper clipping] Corporate America embraces a new era of conservatism under Donald Trump. Bankers and financiers say that Trump’s victory has empowered those who felt they had to self-censor or change their language to avoid offending younger colleagues, women, minorities or disabled people. “I feel liberated,” said a top banker. “We can say [r-slur] and ‘pussy’ without the fear of getting cancelled . . . it’s a new dawn.”

[orange, celebrating] Worth it! I see this as an absolute win!

[holding a rose] Now hear me out... Sure, we did let them bring back slavery

[looking smug] But we negotiated that you can have longer and more comfortable chains this time around

[dropped the rose, still looking smug] We truly are defenders of the people

I don't normally post sundays as it tends to be just sorta whatever art the author decides to post but once in awhile its a comic although usually just a sketch but this one looks pretty complete and I like it.

I talk with my neighbors but I live in a condo so we see them in the hall or on the elevator or in the garage or around the outside of the property.

[unhappy orange character] Life was so much better back in the day...

BACK IN THE DAY

[orange character smirks while their slave toils away] What injustices? Everybody's happy here

I waited till end of day yesterday because it looked like someone else was posting every day but it looks like its just crossposting so is a bit dependent on me still doing it. Which is fine given my days are pretty open. I like todays. I think she has mentioned knowing she will have to face questions around this topic someday with her kids. I can't wait for the comic where the kid is way excited to tell the younger one about it.

Its funny because I see these types of sentiments on the fediverse but there is something about having it as a conversation between drawn people that I just like.

A man whispers into another man's ear, reminiscent of the famous George W Bush image

MISTER PRESIDENT... A SECOND TRUMP MANDATE HAS HIT THE ECONOMY

A smiling orange plane with a red hat flies towards two towers. The left tower is destroyed, the word COVID on it. A second tower stands, with the word NASDAQ on it, and seems to be frowning. A confused building stares from below.

Looks like the artist decided to do some self care and the waiver must have given her pause.

Everyone else: "shhhhhh, what are you trying to do, put us out of a job? In this economy?"

[Reddit alien] Hi, it's me, social media. My platform's entire value relies on its users wanting to contribute to it

[Reddit alien, smirking] Hmmm.... How about I piss off my entire userbase

[Reddit alien, sad] Huh my platform is losing value... I don't understand how this is possible

This is one of the things I think that is the reason I really like devils panties. The whole diary format allows for funny sometimes, opinion, politics, and just a nuance for things you see. Every so often I see something on how anything is not enough or pointless in some way. Voting, protesting, boycotting. I love the way the artist can convey things with the comic.
