"An immigration judge ruled on Tuesday that the Trump administration has until 5pm on Wednesday to present evidence as to why Mahmoud Khalil, the Palestinian activist and Columbia University graduate, should be deported. She said that if the evidence does not support deportation, she may rule on Friday on his release from immigration detention."

"Seven and three-quarters hours into his 25-hour speech on the Senate floor, the New Jersey Democrat Cory Booker uttered the word “Gaza”. He was not talking about the war. He stepped nowhere near the 50,000 Palestinians killed by the Israeli armed forces since 8 October 2023, or the US’s military and political support of the genocide.

Rather, Booker was searching for a particularly ludicrous lie from a presidential administration that has told thousands. “There are lies about USAID, like, I don’t know, 5 million condoms going to Gaza or something outrageous,” he said. Considering the other outrageous things Trump has said about Gaza – such as his plan to “clean out” the strip to make room for luxury resorts – the remark felt trivializing."

"The results of the postmortems join a growing body of evidence that sharply contradicts Israel’s account of the incident, including video footage that shows the vehicles were travelling with headlights and flashing red lights that identified them, with personnel wearing hi-vis vests, at the time they were fired on."

“The first interruption Friday came from [Ibtihal] Aboussad, who stood up during #Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman’s speech.”

“Shortly after the interruption, Aboussad sent an email, … to Suleyman and other Microsoft executives”

“[quote] ‘I did not sign up to write code that violates human rights’”

“At a separate Microsoft event with executives Friday, [Vaniya] Agrawal interrupted a speech by [CEO Satya] Nadella with a similar protest and also sent an email to executives afterward.”

“A Microsoft spokesperson said Friday that the company is committed to adhering to the highest standards of business practices.

“‘We provide many avenues for all voices to be heard. Importantly, we ask that this be done in a way that does not cause a business disruption. If that happens, we ask participants to relocate,’ the spokesperson said.”

UNICEF spokesperson Kazem Abu Khalaf yesterday announced the closure of approximately 21 malnutrition treatment centres in Gaza due to the resumption of Israeli military aggression and the issuance of evacuation orders in operational areas.

He further emphasised that Israel continues to impose a blockade on Gaza, preventing the entry of humanitarian aid, medical supplies, nutritional supplements, and other essential materials for the 35th consecutive day.

UNICEF reported on Saturday that more than one million children in the Gaza Strip have been deprived of life-saving assistance for more than a month, warning that “the continued denial of aid entry into Gaza constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and has dire consequences for children.”

"DEIR AL-BALAH, GAZA—Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah is a place of concentrated horror and suffering. There is not a moment of tranquility here. A constant stream of ambulances rush in loaded with casualties—mostly crushed and charred bodies and dismembered children. The wards echo with the screams of mothers. Sobbing toddlers wander the halls looking for family members. Funeral prayers are held every hour, barely keeping up with the rising number of dead."

Lizzy went back to posting videos of her family that celebrated Judaism and Israel. But after the October 7 attack, she pivoted to what can only be described as full-blown hasbara – a Hebrew term that can be understood as public diplomacy or propaganda, depending on one's perspective.

Like hasbara itself, Savetsky is a polarizing figure. Her fans hail her as a "Jewish lioness" and a "modern-day Queen Esther," as one website recently enthused. But she also has a dedicated contingent of detractors who accuse her of distorting facts, defending Israeli military actions that some classify as war crimes and even leveraging her children to elicit emotional reactions.

Their messaging is strikingly uniform, falling into three primary categories: unwavering support for Israel in its war against Hamas; urgent calls to bring the hostages home; and a relentless focus on global antisemitism, which they frame as a pervasive and existential threat. Their posts often distill incredibly complicated issues into stark battles of good versus evil: an approach that plays well on social media but leaves little room for nuance in the real world. Still, their reach is undeniable.

Palestinian Christians are condemning a move by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to collaborate with a leading pro-Israel advocacy group on an online tool that aims to define Palestinian resistance as antisemitic.

In a letter sent late last month from Kairos Palestine to the USCCB Committee’s head, Bishop Timothy Broglio, sixteen Palestinian Christian leaders representing Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant denominations and church organizations express their deep disappointment regarding the USCCB’s endorsement of the American Jewish Committee’s online resource, Translate Hate. The bishops’ Committee on Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs, in partnership with the AJC, added its own annotations to the AJC’s resource, which offers glossary of “antisemitic terms, phrases, conspiracies, cartoons, themes, and memes” and titled it, Translate Hate: The Catholic Edition.

The Kairos Palestine letter charges the bishops’ document was “adopted without any form of consultation with Palestinian Christians, rendering us invisible and nonexistent in a discourse that directly impacts our lives and communities.”

It comes, they write, “at a time of immense suffering for our people, as tens of thousands are being killed, starved, and displaced under Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza and the West Bank including East Jerusalem—actions condemned by leading international and Israeli human rights organizations.”

Israeli Official: Palestinians Will Be Removed From Gaza After Hamas Eliminated | Antiwar.com (2025-04-04)

https://news.antiwar.com/2025/04/04/israeli-official-palestinian-will-be-removed-from-gaza-after-hamas-eliminated/

“An Israeli official made it clear that Tel Aviv plans to expel the Palestinians from Gaza after the hostages are freed and Hamas is eliminated.”

“On Thursday, The Times of Israel reported that Hamas again offered to release all captives in exchange for a permanent ceasefire. The outlet explained that Tel Aviv has a ‘longstanding rejection’ to this type of deal.”

“When the senior official was asked if Tel Aviv was concerned that resuming the fighting in Gaza will lead to the deaths of more captives, they explained, ‘It doesn’t matter if they die – it does, it’s terrible, but they are suffering.’”

“I raised my children to love goodness and to do good deeds,” Sobhi said. “We had a principle in our home: do good without expecting thanks or praise. Mohammad [Bahloul] lived by this principle.

“We never expected this to happen – not even in our worst nightmares,” Sobhi added. “They went to save lives, only to become victims themselves.”

The international Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement are calling on people to cancel Game Pass subscriptions, avoid Microsoft-owned video game properties such as Minecraft and Call Of Duty, and boycott all Microsoft Gaming and Xbox-branded products in protest at the company’s reported business connections with the Israeli military.

The call follows allegations this January about the Israeli military’s usage of Microsoft’s Azure cloud technology and artificial intelligence products in the course of its bombardment and invasion of Gaza.

According to a joint investigation between the Guardian, Israeli-Palestinian publication +972 Magazine and Hebrew-language outlet Local Call, with additional reporting from Drop Site News, Microsoft have “deepened” their relationship with Israel’s defence establishment since 7th October 2023, when several Palestinian militant groups struck across the border and massacred over a thousand people. Israel responded to the attack by mounting a ground offensive and airstrikes that have destroyed much of Gaza and killed tens of thousands of Palestinians.

“As a professor of European constitutional law, I have published on academic freedom and am currently pursuing a project on the political role of the university in a polarized society. As part of this project, … I should spend this autumn at NYU…”

“After the start of the authoritarian takeover in the United States…, I wondered whether I should come to New York.”

“… it was Yale’s email advising all foreign students and scholars of heightened scrutiny when entering the US. It noted that individuals could be questioned by border officials about their support for Palestinian causes and that their visas could be revoked based on their answers. ‘We cannot advise you on how to answer such questions’, the guidance said, ‘but you should be prepared to answer them.’”

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has published mobile phone footage taken by a slain Palestinian paramedic refuting Israel's account of why its soldiers opened fire on a convoy of ambulances and a fire truck on 23 March, killing 15 rescue workers.

. The video shows the vehicles moving in the dark with their headlights and emergency flashing lights switched on. Israeli forces then opened fire on the vehicles for several minutes.

The Israeli military initially denied the vehicles had their headlights or emergency signals on when its forces opened fire on them.

At least two emergency workers can be seen stepping out of the vehicles wearing reflective clothing. The rescuer filming the video with his phone is heard reciting Islamic prayers before being killed.

One rescuer can be heard in the video saying, "Forgive me, mother. I just wanted to help people. I wanted to save lives."

During the attack, Israeli forces killed eight PRCS paramedics, six Gaza Civil Defense workers, and one UN employee. Israeli troops buried their bodies, and the destroyed vehicles in a shallow mass grave dug in the sand.
